That gets Calvert two minutes for cross checking and Justin Schultz gets 2 minutes for a perfectly legal play that is taught at every level of hockey. Makes no sense. That was assault and battery in the real world and he gets a 2 min minor. What a hack and a coward Calvert is. Nothing but a punk. No wonder ratings are down. Wake up NHL or you will face the reality of people not wanting to watch the BS. Maybe the NHL would do something if someone got killed. Probably not

But I guess to you a small charge like theft should get the same punishment as say murder. Do the world a favor and stay in the crap hole that is NY.

The guy is a fourth line goon. Suspending him is not going to affect the Jackets' chances, if that is what the nhl is worried about (not that they should be).

I wonder what type of punishment Sestito would get if he did the exact same thing to Atkinson or Jones and the Pens were losing at the end? Something tells me that the punishment would be substantial.

Actually I am a much bigger Malkin fan than Crosby. If he did that to someone the first thing i would say is "thats got to be a suspension". Crosby's nut shot should have been a game his slash on the other hand happens every game, it just so happens that this got got it on the wrong spot. Taking a stick and breaking it over a guys neck is over the top in any hockey era. And I live far away from Pittsburgh but the entire state of NY is trash.
